Introduction to Lacrosse

Introduction to Lacrosse from Emerson College Head Coach Matt Colombini!

The Stoneham Recreation Department is putting on a three-day lacrosse clinic to introduce newcomers to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. With the help of Head Coach of Emerson College, Matt Colombini teaching the basic rules and skills of lacrosse. Kids from age 5 to 12 are welcome to attend. Make sure to bring your own mouth guards and any equipment you have!

Monday, July 29th - Wednesday, July 31st
Ages 5-12yrs + - 10:00am-12:00pm

About Matt Colombini

Coach Colombini comes to Emerson after serving as the assistant coach at Colby College in Waterville, ME.  Prior to Colby, he was the assistant and subsequent interim head coach at Wheaton College.

Colombini attended Ursinus College in Pennsylvania where he studied history with a minor in coaching and secondary Education. While at Ursinus Colombini played Goalie for their varsity lacrosse team and was named to the 2011 All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.   

He is well versed in the NEWMAC Conference and will bring excellent expertise, insight and enthusiasm to the program.  We are extremely fortunate to have someone of his character and caliber to lead the lacrosse program to an elite level in the highly competitive NEWMAC Conference.
