Explore new foods! Reinforce reading and math skills! Get creative with healthy ingredients, and have fun in a team!
Aspiring chefs, working together, will prepare entrées, fun snacks, and side items whose key ingredients are known to be really good for us! During this summer 2-day intensive, we’ll focus a bit more on learning practical cooking skills, while finding fun ways to enjoy the beautiful produce of the season. On the second day, participants will come home with dinner, or the start of dinner, all prepped and ready to cook!
We will use every second of our time together! Along with cooking and tasting, which will be the emphasis, we’ll also take short breaks to burn up some calories, and flex our brain muscles – digging a bit deeper into the world of nutrition with fun and physical activities.
Kids’ Test Kitchen is created by Nutritionist and mom, Emily Seward, RDN, LDN, who brings her passion for connecting with children and food to empower and inspire the healthy eaters in all of us.
